PROGRAM Description
& Goals
The program promotes and supports Israeli-Ethiopian women's leadership at the national and International levels. The main focus is on developing resilience and supporting success through a variety of activities and real-world opportunities for personal and professional development.

Program participants are comprised of Israeli-Ethiopian women who have obtained a degree in Higher Education, those in the process of completing their degrees, and social activists.
Participants meet three times a month during which time they are provided with a variety of workshops that will help them develop themselves personally and professionally. During the course of the program, participants will also have the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in a real-world setting.

The program aims at developing women leaders who excel at public speaking and debate, have excellent interpersonal and networking skills, coupled with a deep sense of self-awareness and mindfulness. The participants will gain the necessary skills, knowledge, and real world experience which will support them in advancing professionally in the public arena on a national and international level.

Component
The coaching component is designed to develop a partnership with participants by utilizing a thought-provoking and creative process which will encourage participants to maximize their personal and professional potential.

The debate and public speaking component helps participants enhance their confidence and develop effective public speaking and presentation skills. Participants will develop an orderly and logical way of communicating. They will develop their ability to think critically, present their ideas persuasively, and listen effectively.

Component
The mindfulness component helps participants cultivate a deeper sense of awareness with regard to their thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behavior in the present moment. As a result, participants will achieve a more focused but relaxed state which will help them make better decisions, avoid self-criticism, and build a powerful inner resilience.

The career counseling component supports participants in finding a personal career path, setting career goals, exploring and expanding career opportunities, personal marketing/branding on social networks, job search, interviewing/conversations with managers, job training, networking, and dealing with employment uncertainty.

Enrichment Component
The enrichment component serves to enrich, improve and diversify the participant's knowledge base in order to adequately represent the community and the state in an intelligent and scholarly manner. Participants will be provided with opportunities to learn and grow in areas that will support them professionally and personally.
Additional Enrichment opportunities include, but are not limited to:

Participation in advocating for the global Jewish community via international conferences

Conducting enrichment conferences for the community

Volunteering such as mentoring and conducting workshops

Enrichment and familiarization sessions with government officials, courts, Knesset, companies, etc.

Meeting with leadership from the congregation in the various fields.
